So today was a busy day.
I woke at 10
(yes 10, I know, late), thats ok - I was tired. My mom came over and I
took her to her dental appt. So now after two hours, she has dentures
and has pretty teeth, and smiled with a beautiful smile. I am excited.
She is also staying the night so that I can keep an eye on her and make
sure she stays comfortable.
While she was in the dental office,
I went to Walmart. I got her prescriptions filled. While I was there,
this lady brought her husband over and said stay here, wait till I get
back. He started telling me about Japan and kept repeating his stories.
I later found out he has alzheimers. He ended up leaving the spot, his
wife came back, got worried, and I helped her look for him. He was a
very nice man to meet.
I have definitely done too much today. I
am achy, but not extreme, thank goodness. The doctor yesterday gave me
an antiinflammatory that brought down my flare some. I was so grateful
to him. He was compassionate. Have a good night. Remember, even though
the ederly should not drive, they should still be allowed to tell their
stories.
Oh, yeah and I almost forgot - I was driving behind
this Toyota Corolla. He was driving like an idiot. At first in a 35 he
would not go more than 25. Then he sped up to 35 and I was thinking it
is about time. Right after that moment he decides to veer off the road
and into a parked Ford Expedition. He pushed the expedition into an
Isuzu p/u truck, damaging his car like crazy, the expedition front and
rear, and the isuzu. Since I was directly behind him, I stopped on the
other side of the road and gave my information to the police officer
who was already there, but said I had to leave because my mom just had
mouth surgery. He took my information and let me go, but first I had to
give him a little run down of what happened. I found out later that he
wasn't drunk, just wasn't paying attention. The lady who owned the
expedition was in fact inside buying another expedition. I wonder if
she was trading in the first one? She was PISSED. She kept screaming
and yelling she was so mad. Crazy.
