Fake Friends

I have had the biggest run-in with fake people. Here is a recent post on a group:

I have spent the last year and a half wasting my time in forging
friendships where, come to find out, instead of friendships my family
was being judged.

If you don't intend on your children building a stronger foundation
with a certain child(ren) then let the parent know. Don't waste my
time, or others, pretending to be more than acquaintances, knowing the
whole time my intentions were to have a stronger friendship grow with
your child(ren). I have one child, not 2-8. He most definitely needs
to grow with and form lasting friendships with other children. My bond
with my son is strong and secure. His need, as is all our needs, to
have that person(s) that we can turn to, rely on, etc. Why waste his
time if you aren't going to let that happen? Why be a fake friend when
in fact you judged us the entire time? I DESPISE FAKE PEOPLE. It is
sad to say, but in joining the homeschool groups and participating in
park days, I have ran into more FAKE people than through the public
school.

I will NOT apologize for having a different parenting style than
yours, nor will I change my values just to be friends with you, just
be honest next time and let me, or others, know that it doesn't fit in
well with yours and I will go look elsewhere for my son to build a
long lasting bond.

So we will be switching Homeschooling programs. We are switching to a more district structured program - they basically tell you what you need to do, and you do it at home. The boy has already figured out that if he completes the weeks work in one day, then the rest of the week pretty much becomes his. (Except for when I think he needs to do something else - or chores).

I have to call our Educational Facilitator today and find out the process of leaving.

Hope all are having a wonderful day.
