Surgery?

So for those of you who read my blogs, I was to have surgery today. Yes I said WAS. I didn't.

I got up butt crack of dawn. Got my son up same time. Take him to Ama's, drop him off. I park at the hospital. I go into the Neuropathology Department. I get taken back, get gown on, get IV in (ouch), then my doctor tells that I was scheduled wrong and cannot do my procedure today.

YEP. No procedure. I almost started crying.

The reason: The scheduler picked up an old paper and scheduled me for the appt that I just previously had. The one where they X-ray'd my back to see if the lead had moved (remember?).

So, he couldn't do the surgery that day. The Reason: I was scheduled for his minor procedure room, and mine is a major procedure. Which meant that I would need to be in the Operating Room Upstairs. Plus his Operating Room days are Mondays.

So result: He will be talking to his scheduler and I will be having my surgery the first Monday after the New Year.

I wish it could have been today, however, on the brighter side I will get to spend New Year with Patrick, in his game room, and a kiss on the New Year.

Now the only reason I didn't mention Christmas is because since we thought I would be in bed not active enough to participate, we have been having Christmas all week. The boy has received all presents and is very happy
